In the field of cultural and national heritage consolidation and strengthening of infrastructure for digitization, use and conservation of digital cultural heritage will be carried out, enabling coordination and management of e-digital cultural heritage and access to cultural and national heritage e-services. Digitization of cultural heritage opens significantly more opportunities for its use in creating new products and services, creating services based on content from various sources, overcoming local and domain boundaries and inter-sectoral connectivity, as well as for creating a critical mass of easily accessible cultural contents for reuse in education, art, science and economy. Digitalization, network availability and long-term conservation of digital contents are and will be a necessary precondition for access to cultural contents and knowledge for all, as well as for the promotion of national heritage, identity and diversity in the European environment. |
| Project aims: |
The overall objective of the project is to increase the protection and online accessibility of digital cultural content, with the specific aim of securely storing digital cultural content in one place and allowing users a unique approach to such stored content by establishing the appropriate ICT system. |
