Project title: LOGIS (integrated information system for planning and managing crew and fleet resources for train passenger transport )
Project description: IT modernization of process of planning and management of train personnel and vehicles in passenger transport execution by rail enables optimized management during transport execution according to predefined timetable and organizational structure of transport company.IT solution must be developed and be able to modify it in accordance with all current legislation and by-laws, regulations and instructions, concluded collective agreement and agreements with other entities that are involved in the process of passenger transport by rail, with the insured adjustments of the applied solutions to the rules by an authorized/licensed users during and after the end of the implementation of the system without the support of the executive staff.
Project aims: For HŽPP Management Board the main objective of the project Logis is in accordance with the program of restructuring and business plans of the company by implementing a project to achieve the optimization of resources resulting with a reduction in the cost of doing business, i.e. the optimum exploitation of the resource.
The General objectives of the project are the following:
• the increase in the availability of vehicles
• optimization of vehicles and train personnel work
• operating costs reduction due to the rational use of the vehicle
• the improvement of the quality of the life cycle of the vehicle
• substitution of the existing administrative practice with the new organization of the data collection and processing including manual work reduction
• effective fleet management.
• enable the full accuracy of records and accounting of working time,
• to eliminate any possible errors in previous registration and billing,
• saving on printing of stationery, slated for logging and calculation of working time,
• enable better control of the execution of the monthly work plan,
• to allow better control of the actual start and end dates of duties,
• a more efficient monitoring of utilization of annual holidays,
• disabling swapping without approval,
• more efficient control of compliance with the provisions of compulsory rest for personnel between the two shifts,
• more efficient control of compliance with the legal provisions on overtime.
