| Project aims: |
The main goal of the OPERA program is the harmonization and establishment of a European operational meteorological radar platform and the exchange of radar data. By centralizing the collection of operational radar data, OPERA is able to consolidate support and application development for the European Radar Network. The second major task of OPERA is the exchange of harmonized data and products between national meteorological services. Development of a basis for the inclusion of radar data in the numerical weather forecast.
